PLAYR Becomes First FIFA-Approved Wearable Tracker For Consumers

Following several of Catapult Sports’ professional devices recieving FIFA approval, PLAYR has now become the first wearable tracker authorised by FIFA which footballers at any level can purchase.

PLAYR met the International Match Standard (IMS) for Electronic Performance and Tracking Systems (EPTS) after undertaking several rigorous safety tests and meeting federation requirements for quality, comfort and durability. Having completed all the necessary criteria, we’re now proudly able to provide official certification having had PLAYR validated by FIFA.

With the World Cup in full swing for the federation in Russia, PLAYR has been inspired to sponsor the largest youth international tournament, the Gothia Cup, this summer with our newly-approved devices. We’re offering teams competing in Gothenburg the chance to trial our technology for free right here.
