PLAYR Becomes The Gothia Cup’s Official Technology Partner

Those who’ve been lucky enough to visit Gothenburg know the city is synonymous with three things: seafood, festivals and, above all, football.

Home to the world’s largest international youth tournament, the Gothia Cup, PLAYR is proud to announce it will be the official sports technology partner to the 1700 teams from 80 nations heading to Sweden this summer.

With legends such as Xabi Alonso, Andrea Pirlo and Ze Roberto all having played in the competition as children, the Gothia Cup runs for six days as a number of different age groups compete across a total of 4500 games. Not only are we going to be in Gothenburg for all the action, but we’re offering teams the chance to see for themselves what GPS football technology can do for their football.
