PLAYR signs partnership with Western Sydney Wanderers FC

We are very pleased to announce a partnership with Western Sydney Wanderers. The A-League club’s Foxtel Y-League team will be equipped with PLAYR devices to provide not only stats, but also sports science advice to enable them to take their performance to the next level.

With the senior team already using Catapult’s elite products, it was the natural step for the Wanderers’ Foxtel Y-League team to join forces with PLAYR. The product tracks over 1250 data points per second, across six different metrics, giving players enormous amounts of value in appreciating and understanding their statistics. It combines distance, speed and sprint data with GPS heatmaps, so players can compare their performance to their peers in the PLAYR community – as well as top professional players from all around the world.

Our world first in-app SmartCoach advice will also be used to help players think, train and prepare for game day, just like the professionals. The partnership will give PLAYR exposure to young aspiring elite players in Australia, empowering these players with next generation football technology.
